Join Harriet Adie for an exam boosting workshop focussing on speedy scales, savvy sight reading, accurate aural, polished performances and more!
Each session is designed to give students a boost in that all important period just before exams take place. We will focus on:
secure knowledge of key signatures and the pedals/levers required
the different scale and arpeggio requirements and how to start them in a relaxed and confident manner
what to look out for when sight reading (which will also include some ensemble-based sight reading catering to individual playing levels)
how to tune into the inner ear and pulse for accurate aural skills
a chance to perform exam pieces to the rest of the group
how to best prepare on the day of the exam
practise tips and tricks for the remaining weeks until the exam
SESSION 1, 10AM - 1PM is for students working on grades 1 - 4, with both lever and pedal harp players included. Harps are kindly being provided by Salvis, so there is no need to bring your own harp with you.
SESSION 2, 2PM - 5PM is for students working on grades 5 - 8, with both lever and pedal harp players included. Harps are kindly being provided by Salvis, so there is no need to bring your own harp with you.
